Join us as we collaborate with Vitality In Motion Chiropractic & Wellness Center in Catonsville, MD for their 5th Annual Community In Motion Walk.  This activity is rooted in movement, wellness, and community all within the walkable heart of Catonsville a designated Maryland Sustainable Community.  This gathering is about more than just physical activity; it's a recognition of how regular movement enhances both physical and mental health, and how shared experiences like walking together help strengthen our community bonds.

This walk is in a neighborhood identified as being well suited to fulfill these goals, and the Community In Motion Walk is a chance to experience and support that vision firsthand.

As a collaborator in this year's walk, Paul Dongarra, theThe Sierra Club’s Outing Chair will be highlighting the importance of Smart Growth principles—investments in walkable neighborhoods, expanded housing options, and new thoughtful designs that support vibrant, connected communities. We will pass through a beautiful native woodland garden, stroll through a Historic District listed in the National Registry of Historic Places, and end a lively farmers market where you can shop, have lunch or just continue your tour of the area where there are ample shopping and eating amenities.

We will be learning about the area's role in the Baltimore County Master Plan, looking for existing examples that exemplify it's goals, but most of all we are looking for opportunities to envision how the community could evolve to support a more sustainable and equitable future.

Whether you're seeking wellness, fellowship, or advocacy—or all three—this walk is an invitation to walk and see this beloved community through a whole new lens!

Exploring some of the following SMART GROWTH resources will help you get the most out of the experience and really help you with IMAGINING WHAT IS POSSIBLE!

It will also give you a leg up on the Kahoot game that we will play which reinforces learned concepts and whose top winners take home gift baskets!
