St. Patrick's Day Fundraiser

A little luck can’t hurt but real change takes commitment. 🍀
Join us this St. Patrick’s Day weekend for great food, good company, and a chance to support community-powered leadership that protects open space, safeguards our drinking water, and puts neighbors, not developers, at the center of local decision-making. Come see what a people-funded campaign looks like and why this race matters for the future of District One.

Riverview/Lansdowne Clean-up

This event really started in a simple way.

I was out picking up trash on a neighbor’s street when she came outside and saw what one person could do. She looked around and said, “WOW… let’s do it again.”

That moment stuck with me.

Building stronger communities isn’t easy, and it’s not something any one person can do alone. But it is something we can do together, one small action at a time.

That’s how this Community Clean Up came to be.

I hope you’ll join me as we take a simple step toward revitalizing our neighborhoods, connecting with one another, and showing what’s possible when people come together with a shared purpose. We’ll provide gloves and bags and a few trash grabbers, you come with your enthusiasm and a desire to make your community stronger.

Let’s get to work.

Many neighbors I speak with in Riverview and Lansdowne feel neglected. For decades, special interests have controlled our councilperson, steering resources toward developers while neighborhood needs were pushed aside. That’s why roads like Daisy Ave. are in disrepair and too many streets still lack sidewalks despite major opportunities like light rail access, waterfront proximity, and a naturally walkable, bike-friendly street grid. As community confidence wanes, we start to see more and more trash.

Now is the time to change course and the campaign is starting this work now.

Join Paul Dongarra in the community this week:

Sunday, April the 12th

  • 9AM — Meet at Lansdowne High School Parking Lot to clean up the intersection of Hollins Ferry RD and Daisy Ave./Lansdowne RD

  • 11AM— Meet at Riverview Elementary to clean up around the school grounds and up and down Hollins Ferry RD.

Come learn how this publicly financed campaign can change how our neighborhoods are treated and help chart a new course toward a stronger, brighter future for ALL of District One.
