Arbutus Arts Festival Stroll

  • R/C Hollywood Theater 5509 Oregon Avenue Arbutus, MD, 21227 United States (map)

Join us Sunday, May 17th at 11:30am as we gather in front of the Hollywood Theater on Arbutus’ Main Street for the Arbutus Arts Festival Stroll as we celebrate all of the potential this community has to offer. NOTE: the streets are closed for this festival and it is best to bike, walk or take a ride share like UBER, down to the location

Arbutus should be one of the great success stories of smart growth in District One. With a MARC train station, a walkable Main Street, and proximity to University of Maryland, Baltimore County, it has all the ingredients to become a vibrant destination where people can live, work, shop, and gather.

Unfortunately, communities like Arbutus have too often been overlooked, left out of the opportunities that redevelopment can bring and received little to no engagement to help realize its potential in a way that benefits everyone.

Street festivals remind us what vibrant communities can look like. They create energy, support small businesses, bring neighbors together, and show the power of investing in places people care about.

We’ll be handing out kazoos and strumming guitars and ukuleles to “This Land Is Your Land” to lift up an important message: community deserves a seat at the table when it comes to how we grow and who benefits from that growth.

Come stroll with us, make some music, and help build a stronger, more vibrant Arbutus.
